• Whale watching – you don’t even have to venture out on a boat to see whales in South Africa. Hermanus is one of the most renowned land based wales watching sites in the world, so this is worth a visit (its recommended that the best time of year is between July and November)
• Penguins – who would have thought that you could see penguins on your warm South African trip! But you can at Bettys Bay and Stony Point.
• Great white shark – this may or may not be your cup of tea, but why not spread your wings and try this once in a lifetime experience. Shark diving is famous because of Shark Alley, you can take boat trips from Cape Town and Gansbaai and then be lowered into the water – don’t worry, you’ll be in a protective cage!
