Bull elephant gets a bit to close on African Safari

You may have read about the recent events where a Bull Elephant got a bit too close (and frisky) with a car while two people were on an African Safari holiday. The elephant approached the car within the safari and started pushing itself against the vehicle. This caused massive panic for the pair inside who describe how the tyres of the vehicle exploded and the chassis of the car broke. The elephant was thought to have been on musth – a period of time in which its testosterone levels skyrocket. Although this is a rare occurrence it doesn’t make the incident any less scary for the occupants of the Volkswagen Polo.

The passengers of the car were not harmed, just badly shaken up – the car, unfortunately, was not so lucky and was hardly recognisable. As for the elephant, after giving itself a good scratch, it continued on its way oblivious to the destruction it had left behind it.
