Taking Children on a South African Safari Holiday
A safari holiday can be fun and exciting for the whole family, especially in South African. But should you take young children on a safari and if so how should you prepare?
If your child or children are under the age of 10 you may want to consider why you want to take them on a Safari. Many children under this age get bored quite quickly and probably won’t really appreciate all a Safari has to offer. Maybe you could combine a safari trip with a holiday so you spend one or two days on safari and the rest of the time chilling out by the pool or on the beach.
African can be an extremely hot country and therefore it is essential that you protect yourself and more importantly your children from the heat. Pack plenty of sun block, hats and a pair of sunglasses. It is also important not to forget that you will be in close proximity to wild animals, so safety whilst on the safari is essential. You should discuss the do’s and don’ts with your child before starting out on your trip and keep a very close eye on them.
