Kruger National Park

One of the places that must be visited in South Africa is the Kruger National Park. The Park is the largest Park in South Africa and gets nearly 1.5 million visitors in a year although because it is so vast, it is unusual to see other people when out in the bush.

The climate in the National Park is warm and sunny all year round which means that all kind of activities can be enjoyed. The Park boasts that it is home to The Big 5: lions, leopards, rhino, elephants and buffalos, but it is also home to nearly 150 other mammals. Obviously, it would be unwise to walk through the Park without an experienced guide but guided trails and drives are offered regularly.

A fantastic experience to enjoy whilst in the Park is to take a hot air balloon trip. This is usually quite expensive, but truly a memorable experience allowing visitors to see the animals from a birds’ eye view.

Increasingly, visitors are coming to the Kruger National Park for bird watching mainly due to the selection of birds which are in evidence throughout the Park. Some birds are only found in this location in Africa.

So, if you want a truly memorable experience, visit The Kruger National Park for your special holiday.
