South African Wildlife
South Africa is famous for its wildlife. There are a number of National parks in South Africa and conservations that aid the wildlife in the area and help to preserve the surroundings and endangered specials that live there.
The Leopard tends to favour rocky terrain and can adapt to both warm and colder climates. The African Leopard is mostly found in sub-Saharan Africa but can be spotted in many other locations from time to time.
The African Leopard has a coat made up of beautiful colours and unfortunately because of this is a favourite for hunters looking to make money off selling their furs. The male leopard is larger averaging 60kg with the smaller females often weighting around 30kg.
Kruger National Park is one of the largest game reserves in Africa and home to a number of Africa Leopards. It takes a lot of pride in its conservation and care of the leopards and its habitat to allow them to breed and live safely without the risk of being hunted.
